One of the things noticeably absent from
Apple's iPhone event today was Facebook. After all, other
outlets were reporting that they would for sure be a part of the event. Late last week,
we reported hearing that
could be the case, but that the two sides were still talking and that Facebook had a back-up plan just in case Apple didn't give them the go ahead. And for good reason. We've heard from a source that sometime late last night, Facebook was told that they would not be a part of Apple's event today. This is nothing new. Companies are told to prepare to go on stage at these events all the time, only to get pulled at the last second. It's just odd that a company as large as Facebook was passed over.
